BOPP Standards

The BOPP Scheme has recently undergone a major restructuring process. The Grower and Ornamental Horticulture Packhouse Standards have been revised with the changes introduced from 1 January 2010. Full details of BOPP certification can be found under BOPP Membership, and a brief summary of the Standards is set out below:

Grower Standards

(a) The Continual Development Standard
The Continual Development Standard is designed for those businesses which do not need to be certificated against a UKAS accredited scheme but require advice to help develop business practices.

(b) UKAS Certification Standard
The UKAS Certification Standard is designed for those businesses which need to be certificated against a UKAS accredited scheme.

The Ornamental Horticulture Packhouse Standard

The BOPP Packhouse Standard is a UKAS accredited Scheme based on the British Retail Consortium Packhouse Standard.

The Growing Media Producers Standard

The BOPP Growing Media Producers Standard is based on the BOPP Ornamental Horticulture Packhouse Standard and is also UKAS accredited.

Additional certification against LEAF is also available.
